FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

INDIAN ISLAND TO CONDUCT SECURITY TRAINING EXERCISE

PORT HADLOCK, Wash., – Naval Magazine Indian Island is scheduled to conduct a security training
exercise on Tuesday, June 4, 2019.

The exercise will take place in the harbor outside of the Ammo Pier’s port security barrier, as
well as outside of the installation’s front gate near Indian Island County Park.

From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on that day, installation personnel and residents living in the communities
surrounding Indian Island could hear sirens, see bright lights, and notice an increased presence of
harbor security boats on the water.

The Navy routinely conducts these types of security exercises, which ensures readiness and verifies
response procedures.

NMII thanks the community for their continued support and understanding.
