NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Port Commission of the Port of Port Townsend will participate in a North Olympic Development Council (NODC) who will host the first of three meetings to set goals for climate change and adaptation & develop a regional climate change strategy for the North Olympic Peninsula. Meeting about Climate Change & Adaptation for the North Olympic Peninsula

Friday, February 18, 2022, starting at 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM

Hosted by The North Olympic Resource Conservation and Development Council

NODC is currently building on the 2015 Climate Change Preparedness Plan to 1) identify key climate change priorities and strategies for the North Olympic Peninsula and 2) build capacity for government jurisdictions to coordinate and implement climate change adaptation and mitigation strategies for regional climate resilience.

The first meeting on February 18th will aim to identify initial climate change priorities and capacity needs by government jurisdictions – including tribal governments, local governments, state and federal agencies, and other institutions – to implement associated strategies.
