Meeting about Climate Change & Adaptation for the North Olympic Peninsula

Friday, April 1, 2022, starting at 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Hosted by The North Olympic Resource Conservation and Development Council

NODC is currently working with area governments, tribes, and other partners to build on the 2015 Climate Change Preparedness Plan to 1) set key climate change priorities and strategies for governments on the North Olympic Peninsula and 2) build capacity for government jurisdictions to coordinate and implement climate change adaptation and mitigation strategies for regional climate resilience.

The second meeting on April 1st will aim to refine a list of climate change priorities, identify key climate change strategies, and begin to identify key coordination and capacity needs for government jurisdictions – including tribal governments, local governments, state and federal agencies, and other institutions – to implement associated strategies.

Who should attend: Elected officials and key staff members of tribal governments, counties, cities, ports, PUDs, state and federal agencies and other organizations concerned with climate change strategies for the North Olympic Peninsula.

Please let Karen Affeld (karen@noprcd.org) or Mike Chang (mike@cascadiaconsulting.com) know if you have any questions about this meeting.
