Gardiner Boat Ramp to Temporarily Close for Construction from noon on Monday, October 13 to 5:00 pm, Wednesday, October 15, 2025
Jefferson County, WA — The Port of Port Townsend announces the temporary closure of Gardiner Boat Ramp to all users Monday, October 13 at noon to Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at 5:00 to facilitate the installation of the first two of a total set of four floating docks and the ribbon cutting ceremony scheduled for Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at 1:00 pm.
The installation of ADA-compliant boarding floats is the last remaining significant phase of work remaining to be completed before the complete reopening of the ramp, slated for late-October. There will be one last ramp closure required on a date yet to be determined, to install the final remaining two boarding floats.
The ramp improvements are substantially complete and have been open for use since September 27. Van Ness Construction of Port Hadlock-Irondale is the general contractor on this project.
