The Gardiner Boat Ramp to Partially Open Saturday, September 27
Jefferson County, WA — The Port of Port Townsend is partially opening the new Gardiner Boat Ramp for use beginning September 27, 2025, just in time for the limited-duration recreational salmon fishery in Discovery Bay. Additionally, Gardiner Beach Road will reopen to traffic.
While the concrete boat ramp portion of the facility will be open for use, installation of the handling floats (used to assist boat launching) is slated for October and won’t be available. Please note, going forward, there will be temporary closures of the boat ramp to install the handling floats. Please regularly check the Port’s website for notices about upcoming ramp closure dates and times.
Trucks and trailers are not to block access to the contractor’s construction equipment.
Thank you for your patience as we complete this important facility upgrade.
