The PORT OF PORT TOWNSEND is currently accepting sealed bids for construction of the following:

Point Hudson Breakwater Replacement

 The work required for this project includes the work as indicated in these Contract Documents. The work required for this project includes:

A.  Facility improvements at the Point Hudson Marina as described below includes but is not limited to:

    1. Removing and upland disposal of the existing creosote timber pile, breakwater and bulkhead riprap, navigation aids, timber walkway, and steel piles.
    2. Installation of new steel breakwaters and bulkhead, consisting of steel pipe pile and riprap, habitat rock nursery, timber walkway (south breakwater), upland improvements, dredging, and navigation aids.

 

Deliver bids to the front desk receptionist at the Port Administration Office, 2701 Jefferson St, Port Townsend, Washington by 10:00 a.m. on June 21, 2022. Hand delivered bids shall be sealed in an envelope, with a return address on it, and plainly marked in the lower left-hand corner “SEALED BID FOR Point Hudson Breakwater Replacement”.

Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty, either a Certified Check or Bid Bond in an amount equal to five (5) percent of the Bid. 

Disadvantaged, Minority, and Women’s Business Enterprises are encouraged to respond. The Port of Port Townsend does not discriminate on the grounds of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, or handicap in consideration for a project award.

The Port of Port Townsend reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive technicalities or irregularities and to accept any bid if such action is believed to be for the best interest of the Port.

This project will be partially funded with Federal funds from the United States Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration and therefore is subject to the Federal laws and regulations associated with that program. It is also partially funded by the Taxpayers of Washington State and is subject to state prevailing wage laws.

Free-of-charge access to project bid documents (plans, specifications, addenda, and Bidders List) is provided to Prime Bidders, Subcontractors, and Vendors by going to www.bxwa.com and clicking on “Posted Projects”, “Public Works”, and “Port of Port Townsend”.   This online plan room provides Bidders with fully usable online documents with the ability to: download, view, print, order full/partial plan sets from numerous reprographic sources, and a free online digitizer/take-off tool.  It is recommended that Bidders “Register” in order to receive automatic e-mail notification of future addenda and to place themselves on the “Self-Registered Bidders List”.  Bidders that do not register will not be automatically notified of addenda and will need to periodically check the on-line plan room for addenda issued on this project.  Contact Builders Exchange of Washington at (425) 258-1303 should you require assistance with access or registration. NOTICE TO CONSULTANTS
REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS (RFQ) for
BOAT HAVEN STORMWATER SYSTEM IMPROVEMENT – PORT TOWNSEND BOATYARD

Port of Port Townsend, Jefferson County, Washington

STATEMENT DUE: May 10, 2022

The Port of Port Townsend is requesting a Statement of Qualifications (SOQs) from qualified engineering firms interested in preparing the preliminary and final design for stormwater system improvements to serve the Port of Port Townsend’s Boat Haven Boatyard property (the “Boatyard”).  The Boatyard is Washington State’s largest open and publicly accessible yard, and hosts businesses that employ more than 400 skilled marine trades workers.  The selected firm will survey the Port’s existing stormwater collection and treatment system, identify appropriate management and operational changes, and prepare a final design for a cost-effective stormwater infrastructure system to be owned and maintained—all with an eye towards compliance with the reissued NPDES Boatyard General Stormwater Permit anticipated to be issued later this spring.
