Located on the northeast corner of the Olympic Peninsula in historic Port Townsend, on the primary route to the San Juan Islands, this modern full service marina has an abundant supply of guest moorage.  Home to 475 commercial and recreational vessels and more than sixty marine trades businesses, the Boat Haven provides more than 6,000 overnight guest moorage accommodations for visiting boats every year. (Maximum vessel length is 100′.)  Jefferson County is home to the Northwest School of Wooden Boatbuilding, (located in Port Hadlock) and a favorite destination for a wide variety of festivals. Come shop in Port Townsend’s historic districts, participate in the events of the world-famous Wooden Boat Foundation, or just enjoy a quiet vacation or weekend.

The Boat Haven is located just to the west of the main part of downtown Port Townsend, on the north shore of Port Townsend Bay, just over a mile from Point Hudson.  The entrance is at the southeast corner of the marina.  Pass the Coast Guard station and tie up on the west side of the fuel/registration dock.

For slip assignment, check in at the moorage office as soon as you arrive.  The office is in the white building at the head of the ramp.

Customs

If Port Townsend is your first stop when traveling from Canada or another nation, you are required to clear U.S. Customs as soon as you arrive.  Business hours are 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday.  Please call 360-385-3777 during business hours to coordinate your arrival with a Customs Officer. NOTE:  Private vessels require an appointment scheduled prior to arrival for clearance in Port Townsend.  Private vessels report ONLY during business hours from 8:00 AM through 4:00 PM, Monday-Friday in Port Townsend. If arriving outside of business hours please call prior to your arrival at 800-562-5943.

Amenities

Electricity and water are supplied to the floats.  The fuel dock has gasoline, diesel, stove oil, and a waste pump-out station. Other facilities include showers, laundry, a launch ramp, dump station, upland storage, covered storage, and travel lifts of up to 300 tons capacity.  Marine parts, charts, and supplies are available from the in-port marine trades businesses. Lodging, restaurants, and grocery stores are located within easy walking distance of the marina.  The Boat Haven is also on Jefferson County Transit bus routes to Port Townsend and surrounding towns.

Point Hudson is located just beyond the end of Water Street at the northeast corner of Port Townsend’s commercial district.  Home to the Wooden Boat Foundation and the Foundation’s annual Wooden Boat Festival, Point Hudson has 32 slips, 800′ of linear docks, an RV park with 48 spots, and several marine trades businesses ready to serve you.  This former Coast Guard station is within easy walking distance of the many fine dining, lodging and shopping opportunities that Port Townsend has to offer. Adjacent to the new Northwest Maritime Center, Point Hudson is your destination of choice for your time in Port Townsend.

For slip assignment, please radio VHF 09 before entering breakwater. You may also reserve a slip in advance. A $7.00 non-refundable reservation fee is due at time of booking and does not apply towards date(s) of stay. 48 hours notice is required to cancel a reservation to avoid being charged the first night of stay.

Point Hudson’s slips can accommodate boats up to 70′ LOA.  Rafting of boats up to four deep is permitted on linear docks and may be required when the marina is busy. All vessels must register upon arrival regardless of length of stay.

Fuel is available at the Port Townsend Boat Haven.  There is a Safeway across the street from the Boat Haven, and you may wish to consider doing your grocery shopping after you finish fueling.  If so, please move your boat away from the fuel pumps while you are restocking your provisions.

Point Hudson also offers meeting rooms and multi-purpose facilities for parties, classes, reunions, seminars and other activities.  With their views of the Admiralty Inlet and the marina’s harbor, we would like to invite you to explore this unique opportunity for your events.  Event planners, outside caterers, and do-it-yourselfers are all more than welcome!  Call 360-385-2828 for more information.

RV resort information” We offer 46 full hook-up sites and two sites without hook-up.  Well behaved, leashed pets are welcome.  Office hours as above, with self-registration after hours.  Check-out time is no later than noon. Laundromat available.

The Herb Beck Marina is located on the west side of Quilcene Bay, opening to the Hood Canal, south of Port Townsend and the Hood Canal Bridge.  It’s a wonderful location for water-based activities, including fishing, clamming, shrimping and much more.  The Quilcene area produces some of the finest oysters in the world, and it’s a great day when you can get the best right from the source!

The marina offers 50 slips, and takes reservations for transient moorage.  Services include fuel, ice, pump-out, showers, restrooms. We also offer RV parking with electrical hook-ups and cable, a swimming beach, boat launch, and a day use picnic area.  Dry storage is available.
